Company
1979
The firm founded by Mario Boldini is born in Locarno.
After a 20-year career in the hotel industry and a few years as chief salesman for a French company operating in the office supplies sector, Mario Boldini decided to establish his own sole proprietorship.
Carbon paper (called "fibrous tissue" in sales) is the main item along with double reel ribbons for typewriters.
1981 - 1989
The firm moved to Breganzona, near Lugano , the center of Ticino's economy.
Mario Boldini travels to Europe because of his language skills (France, Germany, Austria and Italy, but not only) where he expands his clientele.
The first typewriters with disposable ribbons came on the market, changing the market and sending the double reel into the dustbin for good.
The carbon paper market is also changing dramatically with the increasing popularity of copier machines.
1990
From a market in complete transformation, Mario Boldini invents and markets the Quick Arch FIle ®, a cardboard binder - without a mechanism - that saves space in the archive.
Proposed at the Salon International des Inventions in Geneva, it is awarded the gold medal and the Barclay Prize.
All Boldini products are 100% swiss made, to have a domestic and top quality product with ISO certificate of manufacture.
1991 - 1995
Relocation to Lamone, an industrial zone on the outskirts of Lugano. The "sole proprietorship" becomes a "corporation."
The introduction of new models of archival boxes generates the need for larger areas for storage.
1996
Strong market expansion in the 1990s leads to the need for new space.
A building is purchased that becomes home to new offices and allows for better logistics management, ensuring daily supply of all archive boxes.

2007

Miriam Regueira celebrates 25th anniversary in the company.
2025
